The Aquamira Water Bottle and its Microbiological Filter with Miraguard Antimicrobial Technology provides a safe way to enjoy clear, clean tasting water on the trail, in foreign countries or anywhere! This lightweight, easy-to-use system is ideal for wilderness or adventure travel, daily use at home or work, camping, bicycling and more. It fits most bicycle water bottle cages and pack pockets. The Lexan flip cap protects spout from dirt and other contaminants.
The Aquamira filter is a special thick-walled "torturous path" filter designed to provide greater effectiveness than common thin-walled fiber filters. The tiny intricate pathways in the filter trap 99.9% of harmful Giardia, Cryptosporidium, and other pathogens including waterborne insect larvae. The activated carbon reduces waterborne chemicals and improves water taste while Miraguard Antimicrobial technology suppresses the growth of bacteria, algae, fungus, mold and mildew within the filter media.
The Aquamira Water Bottle and Filter system includes a high quality 22 oz. (650 ml) Nalgene sport bottle with a sturdy Lexan flip-cap to keep the drinking spout clean. The pop-up spout makes drinking easy.
If viruses or smaller bacteria are suspected, use in conjunction with Aquamira Water Treatment Drops or Aquamira Water Purifier Tablets.

I've been using the Aquamira Water Bottle & Microbiological Filter for a while now, and I just bought several more for my husband and a couple of friends who often hike with us. There are countless situations where I was so glad to have my Aquamira filter with me. We often do all day hikes by streams or to lakes and this bottle and filter makes it so I don't have to pack as much water as I can possibley carry.
We also travel to other countries quite often, and I never leave without my Aquamira bottle and filter. It saves so much money and plastic waste since we don't have to buy bottled water all the time.
